The ACE Story
The original Atlanta’s Court Elite (ACE) Tennis Academy started with two driven tennis coaches and six determined students training four hours per day. These committed coaches provided personalized attention to their athletes in an intensive training environment. It was not long before the players were winning local, sectional, national, and international tournaments. The Academy produced 8 national champions within the first few years of operation. That success drew attention!
This spurred growth and before long, ACE Tennis Academy had developed over 500 players, employed over 30 top coaches, and managed seven locations around the Southeastern U.S. – making it the largest academy in the country.
As the focus of developing junior talent was replaced with developing pro talent, the junior academy was disbanded in 2003.
Back to Basics
In 2004, Jeff Weaver, Director and managing partner of the original ACE, immediately began to rebuild an academy with a focus back on junior development. Together with former ACE junior Walter Constantine as his head coach, they put together a stronger more balanced academy re-established as Atlanta’s Competitive Edge (ACE) Tennis Academy with total focus again on developing elite junior players.
In September 2006, ACE Academy began operations at The Fields Club and within a year tripled in size. To maintain consistency in his training philosophy, Jeff hired another former ACE student Andrea Terrill Weatherford to round out his management team.
In February 2012, ACE will open a second location in Roswell.
ACE Academy is once again a top producer of junior talent in the Southeast!
